Join us for Coffee in the Cabin this Wednesday, March 9, after drop-off. The topic this time around is Assessments in the Elementary Classrooms. As a Montessori parent, you are likely aware that grading and testing are not part of the typical Montessori day. But that does not mean the children are left to wander through their lessons without accountability or expectation. Instead, the Montessori student's work is regularly monitored and assessed, and the student is expected to progress through each of the key disciplines presented in the classroom. We'll talk about how this monitoring and assessment is carried out in the Elementary classroom with Ms. Schwind (Lower Elementary Guide). This is a fantastic opportunity for Elementary and Primary parents alike. Stop by after drop-off to mingle with other Villa parents. We'll have coffee, tea, and delicious treats. The discussion will begin at 8:45 a.m.
