Early Care, Late Stay & Afterschool Clubs
Early Care and Late Stay are services offered to every Villa student, and drop-ins are welcome. Early Care begins at 7:00 a.m. Late Stay begins at 3:45 p.m. and ends at 5:45 p.m. We also offer a variety of optional afterschool clubs throughout the year.
The Early Care environment is relaxed and self-guided. Children often choose to play card games, work on art projects, or simply socialize. Weather permitting, the Early Care crew also spends time on the playground before school begins. Early Care is staffed by two Villa staff members, and is open to children of all ages, from 2-1/2 to 12. At the beginning of the school day, children are escorted to their classrooms before the regular drop-off procedure begins.
There are separate Late Stay groups for primary and elementary students. All children in Late Stay are served an afterschool snack. Weather permitting, the Late Stay crew spends time outdoors; the youngest children remain on the playground, while the older children are free to explore the campus. A team of three to five staff members supervises the Late Stay groups. Late Stay also offers plenty of indoor fun. For the primary group, there are arts and crafts as well as time for free-play. The elementary group might do a craft, play a game, read or socialize.
Villa di Maria also offers optional afterschool clubs throughout the year. All of our clubs are a lot of fun, and we aim to provide clubs that meet a range of interests. Some of our favorite clubs in the recent past have been running club, soccer, artful Mondays, and chess club. Our clubs are typically offered in six to eight week increments and they change seasonally. Fees range depending on the club, and space is limited. Registration is required to participate in any club.
Fees for Early Care and Late Stay are charged on a daily, monthly or annual basis.
